The style is indeed unusual for a set of on-ear headphones, usingsharp angles that resemble a diamond-cut pattern with plush ear-cups that keepthings comfortable. The color scheme features subtle changes between black,gray, and a brushed aluminum color. Whenyou open up the box, extend the panels and unzip the headphones, it becomesclear that the headphones were designed to make a fashion statement. With linesthat are reminiscent of the Lamborghini sports car or even a F117 stealthfighter, the headphones are certainly unique. Depending on your taste, youcould see this as tacky or elegant, but overall, we quite like the look. Thesharp angles and dark coloring go well together to create a look that certainlyseparates itself from others on the market. The cord is triangular in shapewhich Monster claims will keep it from tangling. While we have not coiled it upand shoved it in our pockets on a daily basis, the shape is certainly differentand so far has held true to its “tangle-free” claims. Whilethe VEKTR’s looks certainly impress, we are happy to say that so does the soundperformance. While bass is not overwhelming, it is still prevalent, andthe overall listening experience is certainly above par.  There is noheavy thumping of bass in your head, but personally, as a bass lover, I wouldhave liked a smidgen more bass.  Uniqueto the Monster Diesel VEKTR headphones is the 3D sound that simulates the perception ofspatial audio. The company claims to use sound altering techniques that givethe listener a bigger than life listening experience. And we have to agree thatthe sonic that are outputted make you feel like you are at a concert when youput the headphones on. However,due to the angular shape of the ear cups, that means the music tends to leakout for others to hear, especially if your ears are too big or too small anddon’t hug the ear cups because of its odd shape. This also means some ambientnoise leaks in while you’re listening to music. In short, TheVEKTR on-ear headphones from Monster and Diesel hit all the sweet spots. It isa super hip pair of headphones that feature a stand-out design, yet at the sametime it offers consumers a listening experience that is crisp, rich and loud.
