If the aim of the event is to educate people then the entertainment is not the key element of the event. Decisions, Decisions, DecisionsTitles, no money, no time, oh my. 2011, the year of the third power, and the year of triple A titles all being released within months of each other. Let's face it, the economy is horrible, the world is in disrepair, and we are all fearing another recession. Not everyone can afford to go out and buy five new games over the course of three months. While we'll certainly try, sometimes food has to come first. So that leaves us with decisions that we unbearably have to make.Recipe For Wallet SicknessOne-fourth cup of Gears of War 3, one-fourth cup of Resistance 3, two tablespoons of Battlefield 3, three sticks of Modern Warfare 3, and a dash of Star Wars: The Old Republic somewhere in the mix. Stir until fluffy, then microwave on high for 400 hours, careful, plate may be hot. This my friends, is my recipe for wallet sickness. So many games, so little time, and not enough money to get them all. You could cook this all in oil, but it still isn't going to make the decision easier by any means. You Have A Choice To MakeThinking about what game to buy, could be as simple as deciding which movie to see. I chose Harry Potter over Captain America this year, and I do not regret one second of it. In deciding which game I am going to buy, I have decided to use experience, desire, and a little math to help me make my decision. While all the games coming out this year, are going to be exemplary games, there is only one that has really captured my imagination. And due to my schedule being so hectic, time will be a commodity I can't afford to waste. Making sure my buck goes as far as it can(where the math comes in,) will also be a consideration. There is only one game for me this year, and my basis comes from the hours I have widdled away playing its prior iterations. 60 days is what my game counter says, which totals 1440 hours. At the time I purchased said game, it was 39.99 and was only available on the PC. I will let you math guru's figure out the formula, but I have determined that I paid roughly three cents per hour of game play.VerdictBased on experiences, bang for my buck, and time available, I am going to have to go with, drum roll please....... Battlefield 3. The videos, the screen shots, the past, and the love of the franchise has determined what game I am going to fork out 59.99 for. Battlefield 3 holds a dear spot in my heart as a game that has the potential to keep me very busy for a few years to come. While I love the other franchises, Battlefield 3 stands to be the best release of this year, and I am going to make sure, as you should, that I am apart of it.
