This is completely ridiculous if you ask me. It seems that our Firefighter that live in Los Angles are being forced to cover up their tattoos when they are one the job, on call, or hanging out at the fire station. Some extremely ridiculous rule was passed banning firefighters to have their tattoos visible while on the job. This has forced many firefighter to have to wear turtle necks, gloves or bandages to comply with this nonsense rule. It also seems that a lot of these tattooed firefighters are being harassed because out their body art. What in the world is going on people? This is 2008 not 1950. Tattoos are a way of life and right for anyone to have and not to mention that they are widely accepted not looked down upon. Trust me if someone was pulled out of a burning building by a firefighter that was covered in tattoos or had one on their neck or some other visible place I dont think the rescuee would take offense to it. So this leads to say to those in charge of creating this rule that is not hurting or causing harm to anyone. Honestly, is it really worth all this trouble? If you answered yes then you need some serious help and need to start thinking about other ways to control firemen. How about working on a way for them to make more money? That seems like a better use of your time.Your Tattoo FriendAshley
