Being a social worker can be a challenging job. It takes a person who has a desire and passion to help others. Once you have completed your schooling, you will be able to start looking for employment as a social worker. As you start to gain more experience, more career opportunities will be available to you. You can decide to start practicing privately, in a hospital and in a home setting. You can also decide if you want to teach the upcoming generations of social workers. If you decide to teach, you will need to go back to school and obtain your PH. D first. Of course, no matter which career choice you make, you will need to complete some social work continuing education courses along the way.As a social worker, you will not have to run around a lot, since you will be spending most of your time at your desk and in meetings with your patients.
