Three years ago the world was taken unawares by dashing news that flied over the Earth with the speed of the light. The United States of America have declared the war on Iraq. Reactions to this news were different. The announcement caused anger, frustration, fear, disdain, happiness, excitement, agreement. These are only a few of millions of other possible variants. Nevertheless more countries anticipated the idea of a war declared by the US, though people knew that the intention of the government were quite clear. And now, after three years people ask themselves: was it a right political move or was it a useless attempt?Lets forget that we are Americans and patriots for a second and look at the situation from a different angle, from aside to see how the world took the news and followed it. The war declared showed all the fears of modern society. People were afraid of the third world war, of the nuclear attack, of the misbalance in world economy and industry, of dangerous situation inside the country. Same as the previous list, this one can also be added by various variants but the core point is that one away or another, the fact brought too many emotions to the surface. The war was highlighted in mass media every day giving the smallest detail, but nobody can be 100% that everything that was shown was true or there were no incidents that were hidden from the public for their sake. The regime of Saddam was destroyed and country is being reborn practically from ashes. Victims were counted, but nobody can say exact figure of people who died there, but American and Iraqi people www.nap.edu. Today, during the trial of the dictator, that murdered, tortured and killed thousands of people, people are to sum up the facts and make a conclusion. Was this war a good move or a fatal mistake? This is a good term paper idea for history class. According to the latest statistics the cost of the two wars, in Iraq and in Afghanistan amounts to $518bln dollars. That is enough to fully fund global anti-hunger efforts for more than 13 years and provide every child in the world with basic immunization for more than a century. "War is an expensive proposition. Whether you're for the war or against the war, that's a fact," said Robert Bixby, the executive director of the Concord Coalition, a bipartisan organisation that advocates balanced federal budgets. He is absolutely right in his statement.Another point of view that is worth term paper writing is the aim of this war. Not to assassinate people and leave children homeless orphans, not to get control over oil or other natural resources, but to show to that people what freedom is, what perspectives they may have. And maybe now they do not realize what has happened to their country or to their system, but when their children do, they will either hate the US till the end of time, or bless days when the first troop stepped onto their grounds.
