Any politician can state that nowadays society is progressing and prospering. This thesis will not be taken seriously even during elections when it is time to listen to future leaders and make a decision. But no one wants to talk about social problems or as they are called by psychologists social diseases that get larger in amount every day. People consider social workers trying to distribute information to be insane outsiders who inflict their problems thinking of them as social. The main concern should be about their development and growth, both spiritual and physical. Unfortunately instead of doing sports, spending a lot of time outdoors, socializing with friends and having fun at parties, young people get addicted to various kinds of drugs, smoking and alcohol that are so easy to get if there is a burning desire to get high. Some may say that it is really easy to quit but that is not true. Addiction is a serious problem only strong-willed people that possess stamina may get rid of. According to the statistics given in one comparison and contrast essay outline of a student involved in social movement against selling alcohol to children under 21, 65% of children drinking alcohol just follow the example of their parents. It is a well-known psychological fact that a childs model to follow is a parent and the realization that beloved mother or father are not perfect hurt deeply. This results into either complete rejection of the way of life parents lead or its acceptance as an ideal way to live. This may also be just fun for a child to look like a real grown-up with a glass of wine in the hand and a cigarette in the other. What an illusion, one must say. Alcohol drinking is also the way to show to friends that you are special, different and cool in comparison with them. But the sad truth is that no written assignment or a meeting will not stop the sale of alcohol to young people. Sometimes parents themselves let children have a drink or two thinking that no harm will come from it. No wonder drinking is called a social disease because the root of the problem is in the societys mentality, that accepts a though of a child using substances that may harm health, the most valuable thing of all. The meetings should be not only for children but for grown-ups http://www.stsci.edu/resources. Misunderstandings in the family, depressing events in the life of a child can make one try to relax and forget about the world with a help of a bottle. If we want to see our society healthy and happy, we should act and act today, for it may be too late when we finally realise the importance of the problem. Young generation is the biggest treasure, for it is a continuation of human existence that we are to keep and develop.
