Hey, have you got fed up withyour computer system having FAT32 system disk, its restore application is notworking properly, you are not able to store large file on your flash drive orexternal hard disk, friends nothing to worry about, this article will help youin finding solutions to get rid of such problems. Callingevery time a technician is not good, it takes off money and knowledge, no oneis computer expert by birth, learning and practically applying them, makes themexpert, this article is for you to make an expert.Friends, FAT32 file systemdisk, doesnt support system restore application, as shadow copies are notcreated in FAT disk. Shadowcopies contain information about changes to documents and system files. Forthis you have to convert your FAT32 file system disk to NTFS file system disk. Also FAT32 file system disk does not support handling large files (over 4GB),so its better to convert your FAT disk to NTFS system disk. The steps to do soare as follows,· Go to Computer, and note the name of thedrive whose file system you wish to convert.· Click on Start.· Type cmd in the search bar if you use Windows7, Windows 8 or Windows Vista. If you use Windows XP, click on Run and thenexecute cmd.· Execute "chkdsk h: /f "(without quotes) where H is the letter of the drive to undergo conversion. Thischecks the drive for errors and fixes them automatically.· Execute "Convert H: /FS:NTFS"(without quotes). H is again the letter of the drive to be converted.· The command prompt will start the conversionprocess and after a few minutes, CMD will say that conversion was successful.· You can check it in the properties of thedrive through right click->Properties.· It is interesting to note that this methodcannot be used to reconvert NTFS file system back to FAT32. NTFS file system ismore secure, stable and require less defragmentation time. When we use FAT filesystem, we normally get message not enough disk space error, which is notseen when we use NTFS file system. FAT32 file systems are more susceptible todisk errors. In case of errors, NTFS volumes retain the ability to recover fromerrors, as opposed to similar FAT32 volumes. Log files are created under NTFS,which are used for automatic repair of the file system. Another benefit of NTFSis that it supports dynamic cluster remapping for bad sectors and also preventsthese bad clusters from being used in the future. NTFS supports file compression, whereas FAT32does not. Space management is more efficiently done on NTFS as compared toFAT32. Cluster size has an important role to play in how much disk space iswasted in storing files. Smaller cluster sizes and less disk space are wastedin NTFS as compared FAT32.Friends if you are smartenough, and have technical knowledge of computers and related terms you canprecede it by yourself by following the steps I have discussed above. If notyou can also use third party tools for this or you can visit the site ofimpcsupport, for the technical support. It also provides windows support, softwares, protection tools and so on.
