In the beginning, when I first started playing FPS Games it was far more easy. You eagerly waited for the latest installement Quake to hit the shelves and sprint down to the shops to grab a copy. Today times have changed with so many top titles hitting the shelves month after month the decessions are neverending. Is there any point in purchasing a title when you could get one for nothing? Dont pay and heres 3 reasons why!First: Can I try first please?How many times have you gone out and bought a mmo, toyed with it for a day and didn't play it again? Just on about myself here I can truely say I have done this more times than I would like to remember or would want to cause it would just make me brake down in tears thinking of the cash I have lost! The best part with free games is that the only thing you would be wasting is time and some HD space while you think whether or not to continue enjoying it.Gone are the days where $40 mmo becomes nothing more than a handy coffee mat or new toy for the dog! Say good bye to the times of rolling yourself out of bed at the crack of dawn on release day to get yourself down to the games shop in time to get a copy. Just register. Press the download key and return back after an hour to ready to install Free FPS title.Second: You pay for quality right?You would think so! During my time with these free fps titles the quality has always been Excellent. I would go as far to say that there right on par with the paid games to! The graphics are amazing, pushing the boundaries with other top paid games. 1 example to point out would be Global Agenda. This mmo has been built with the same 3D engine that powers Quake (Unreal 3D engine 3) and is also a lot of fun to! Quake costs? Global Agenda costs nothing!Quality of the servers is also something else to note. I have lost track how many times I have had to run from a server in Call of Duty due to it being badly overrun with bad latency. A player bouncing from one end of screen to the other and it's not just me either, just scanning over the built in chat you can see its affecting the whole server. Recently I have been fixed to a free title named Combat in Arms. Within this free fps game I can honestly say server latency has been down to a minimum if any at all. There are times it happens but for the most part I am content in the fact that the game runs like it was on rails, even when running it on my ancient laptop.Third: Content, Content, Content!Do paid mmos have all the content? Or at least you would think so since you're paying dollars for it. I have to say paid mmos do have a lot more single player content than a free fps shooter. The free mmos usually tend to focus mostly on multiplayer aspect of FPS. But is there content as rich as a paid game?Yes and probably more so. Just to point out my claim for you, there is a free FPS mmo called Operation 7 and has a staggering amount of maps and gaming modes. over 17 different locations and 5 different styles of modes to choose from and has updates coming out monthly. Titles such as Combat in Arms have a massive 300+ armoury of weapons to pick from. Yes some of these do involve micro-transactions but they got to keep the servers going right?
