The didn't seem too interesting or catchy from the first look. But as it aften happens, the first look may be misleading. Dreams of a Geisha is a very complex match-three pazzle, that will keep even the hardcore fans of the genre entertained. The game does lack a long unrolling story to cover the whole game. But it doesn't ruin the whole thing. You are basically challenged to help geishas be remembered in our modern world as their form of entertaining has slowly moved back. That is done by opening access to four seasonal temples. That's pretty much the whole story of the game. But the story isn't the key element of a good match-three game, right? You start with the swap mode, where you try to create groups of three or more tiles by swapping them. Having reached a certain amount of points you are able to unlock one of the other three modes. Those modes offer different kinds of playing with the way you can get rid of the tiles. Pop mode allows you to just click on the groups of three or more tiles. In Token In Hand mode you are to make vertical and horizontal lines of tiles. And then you are to click on a tile and drag it to other tiles creating chains in Chain mode. All of the modes are full of the extra challenges and power-ups. The game is just full of stones and locked tiles and bombs and firecrackers and hammers. The game is all bright and colorful and attractive. There is a voice-over in the beginning of the game as you get the story. The game possesses everything it takes to be a great match-three game. Well, maybe except for the story.
