The Officejet Pro 8000 is a color printer that has similar features to that of the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn. HP Officejet Pro 8000 features an automatic duplex, USB connectivity and Ethernet. One of the best benefits of the HP Officejet Pro 8000 is the ability to use larger cartridges. The printhead will not get heavier by feeding ink into the ink cartridges. High efficient cartridges are allowed to have 1,400 pages per color cartridge and 2,200 for black ink cartridges. HP Officejet Pro 8000 is one of the most inexpensive inkjets currently available. HP Officejet Pro 8000's input tray fits 250 A4 sheets and restocking the sheets can be extended without lifting the output tray. The output tray on the Officejet Pro 8000 is not very stable and it falls out easily from the small divots connected to the inkjet printer. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 printing process is very slow, taking approximately 18-25 seconds to print a page. The pages print out faster after the first initial page is printed out. There are two types of printing modes for the Officejet Pro 8000, draft and normal mode. Mono documents in draft mode print 22 pages per minute but in normal mode the documents print 15 pages per minute. In draft mode, color documents print out 22 pages per minute and in normal mode, 9 pages per minute. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 does not have the same printing speeds of laser printers, but the speeds are above average for an inkjet printer. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 also prints out photos pretty quickly. A standard 4x6 inch photo takes 29 seconds to print. An A4 photo takes 1 minute and 9 seconds to print.Laser printers still have a clear advantage over the HP Officejet Pro 8000 when printing out mono documents. You are still able to read the text, even 7 pt. fonts but the clarity is a bit blurry when printing out documents in smaller, normal and larger font sizes. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 has great color quality. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 prints out yellows, reds and green with sheer accuracy but it has trouble printing out blue. Blue tends to look paler than the other colors on the color palette. The photo quality is lacking great detail, and it is not recommended to use the HP Officejet Pro 8000 as a primary photo printer. Color documents look visually stunning and very attractive, but there are noticeable glares when you look at the printed documents. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 is an excellent choice for an inkjet printer, if you cannot afford a laser printer. The HP Officejet Pro 8000 rivals many laser printers on the market but for an affordable price tag. If you want an inexpensive inkjet printer that prints out documents at a high speed, high quality documents, and excellent mono documentation, the HP Officejet Pro 8000 is highly recommended.
