Gone are those times when the companies and the organisations didn't need a hi-tech system to handle them. Windows 7 is coming! The real question is what is it coming with? Will it bring the usual Microsoft growing pains or will this be the lean mean operating machine that it's anticipated to be? There's no doubt that many jaded Vista users are hoping that Windows 7 will finally deliver what was promised back when Vista was first released. Many experts believe that Vista was released too soon and the majority of the security flaws in the operating system was due to a lack of refinement and testing something they tried to eliminate by releasing Windows 7 to beta testers around the world.Mac user often annoy me when they boast about the robustness of the Mac operating system. One if their many claims for victory over Windows is the claim that Macs arent affected by the usual adware, spyware and malware problems that Windows users are bombarded with. It seems like even though Bill Gates declared a personal war on adware a couple of years ago, the security features that they built into Windows aren't holding up against the rampage of adware and spyware all over the web. After Microsoft made Windows Defender available free of charge, it looked like they were making progress, but after several years and several upgrades it did not really eliminate spyware. It seems like adware and spyware finds its way unto your computer regardless of what you do to try and protect yourself. The traditional Anti Virus software simply isnt enough anymore. Adding a Anti Adware protection and spyware monitor might seem excessive, but if thats what it takes, then so be it. The problem is much deeper than merely blaming Windows for a bad operating system. Yes, Mac users dont have the same problems, but the fact that Windows have to support so many different applications makes them more vulnerable. Windows is created as an operating system that can support virtually any application and thats why its often easy for adware and spyware to sneak into your system. With the release of Internet Explorer 8, Microsoft tried to address many of the security issue of their browser, but in terms of performance it just sucks. It seems like whenever they plug one hole another ones opens up somewhere else. Its a never ending process where they try to one up on these adware and spyware developers and hackers. The one thing I do know is that as long as people are making money from using adware to advertise and make money off you, they will find a way to get past even the most sophisticated adware and spyware protection. Blaming Windows is an easy way out. Yes, they can improve on their security but in the end you have to take some responsibility yourself. Adware and spyware come in many different shapes and forms. The ones that pose a serious risk are often getting unto your computer due to your own negligence. Peer to peer download sites, Torrent download portals and the like are riddled with harmful software and hackers see these as soft targets. Be careful. Always use good common sense and stay away from sites that look harmful. Dont just download stuff especially when its free.Always protect your computer in as many ways as possible. Make sure you have a real time protection running while you are on the internet. This will prevent spyware and adware from even getting unto your system in the first place. Doing regular scans with a good adware spyware remover is a good practice and although its a pain you will reap the rewards. Lets hope Windows 7 will deliver what it's promising to be and finally have an operating system that's on par with Apple.
