Bingo is generally played in halls. The rules differ from place to place. At some places the game is played with a bingo card that contains 24 numbered spaces and one free space (blank). The numbers are assigned at random on each card, and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each. The game includes all combinations of marked numbers played for prizes on the bingo card. Each bingo player is given a card marked with a grid containing a unique combination of numbers and, in some countries, blank spaces. For each turn a non-player calls out the number and places it aside; it isn\'t chosen again. Each player searches his card for the called number, and if he finds it he marks it. The caller continues to select and announce numbers until the first player forms the agreed pattern (one line, two lines, full house or inside square, outside square and full card) on their card and shouts out the name of the pattern. The winning pattern to be formed on the card is announced. There are multiple prizes given out.On Canadian and American cards lines can be made horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Inner and roving squares and kites must be completely filled; roving squares and kites may be made anywhere on the card. In the UK this game is played mainly for cash prizes. It is also played as a fund raiser for various concerns.Bingo games are usually simple and relaxed, making for a fun evening out which even children can enjoy. It can now be played online, too.
