The new Mini edition of the HTC HD2 has now been launched on a fourth network operator, the HTC HD Mini is now available on a range of third party T-Mobile deals after initially being released as a SIM Free and unlocked phone as well as on the Orange network in early April.Since then the new HTC HD Mini has gone on to also be launched on O2 and Vodafone contract deals and now has been picked up by the T-Mobile network further expanding the number of pay monthly tariffs available for this latest Windows phone. The HD Mini only has one thing in mind, that is to offer the same great features found in the previous and rather large HTC HD2 model but in a far more pocket friendly format. This new mini phone successfully does this by shrinking down the size of the main touch screen from a massive 4.3 inches to a far more reasonable 3.2 inches which makes for a far smaller footprint. The phone packs a real punch in terms of features negating none of those found in the HD2, there is a 5.0 mega pixel camera, the latest Windows 6.5.3 operating system and the HTC Sense user interface running over the top for a smooth user experience. The biggest difference between the two models is that the larger screen of the HD2 needed a whopping 1GHz processor to operate, the HTC HD Mini only needs a 600 MHz processor due to its smaller screen size which also more than takes care of running the abundance of new applications which can be downloaded from the Windows App Store. The HD Mini joins two other new models from the manufacturer which have all been released this year, the HTC Desire and HTC Legend are the two latest Android powered phones to hit the market with the Legend offering the same 3.2 inch touch screen.More competition comes from the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Nokia X6 which both offer the same sized screen as well as the latest Samsung Wave and previous LG Pop and soon to be released Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini which is a similarly slimmed down edition of a larger handset, on this case the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.There are still further network operators due to pick up the new HTC HD Mini with 3 Mobile and Virgin Mobile yet to release this powerful little Windows device, there is also a planned launch on the pay as you go scheme for those that cannot pass the credit checks or who simply do not want the commitment of a contract phone deal.
