PandoraPandora is one of the premier music innovators ranked right alongside Spotify and Apple Music. Their Boston office is in the heart of the Financial District. That location should tell you something about the innovative and modern workspace already, but let’s dive a little deeper.The open floor plan combined with meeting rooms surrounded by glass walls and smooth concrete flooring creates a smooth and sleek appearance for the entire office space. Music lyrics adorn most all the walls (as they should be with a company like Pandora). The entire workspace looks customizable… which also matches with their brand.Break “rooms” are open and inviting, which promotes collaboration that the company prides itself on. Bright lights and an open ceiling give the space and industrial feel, but the warmth of the colors and open spaces male the office design still feel warm and welcoming.3. ReebokReebok is an Adidas-owned fitness and lifestyle company that moved to the Boston urban location in order to attract top designers found in this innovative city.To do this, they need to impress those designers with awesome office design… and they nailed it. With emphasis on fitness to match their brand, Reebok’s Boston office has a huge office gym complete with a boxing ring, fitness classes, and CrossFit (which makes sense since Reebok sponsors CrossFit). Like Pandora, Reebok went with an industrial design concept, which works nicely for designers and for the feel of their brand. It’s sleek, modern, and everything modern workers want. After moving from Canton (a suburb), the switch to the urban Seaport can be seen in their redesign as a step up into the modern innovative age.4. Education First (EF)Education First’s huge and amazing architectural building is seated right on the line between Boston and Cambridge. With a great view from the Green Line, you’ll see the interesting glass patterns of the building that sets the tone for the interesting, & innovative brand. The company itself is a travel brand focused on educating people of all ages and learning new languages through immersion. The building is completely dedicated to EF. It contains offices, conference rooms, salons, an in-building bar, a restaurant, and tons of parking for their over 900 employees.The design itself is also quite open in order to inspire collaboration and connectivity, which aligns perfectly with their brand values. On the topic of modernity, they’re also dedicated to going green with various energy initiatives throughout the office design to improve their footprint.This combined with the perks, the breathtaking architecture, and design that aligns perfectly with the brand mission clutched its spot on our list.5. HubspotLast, but certainly not least, is Hubspot. With a huge campus of offices and buildings only a few minutes from Education First in East Cambridge, Hubspot is in the center of innovation. They actually just got done renovating and upgrading their office space to add a few buildings that include perks like a “coffee garden”, pet-friendly office space, large lawns to lounge outside and look at the nearby Charles, meeting rooms named after inspirational people (ranging from former Red Sox player Jacoby Ellsbury to pilot Amelia Earhart), and more.Another cool perk is their custom vending machines that have items workers often need: keyboards, technology, batteries, and more, all of which you “purchase” with your Hubspot employee wristband. They also have special “Nomad” desks for those who like to switch up where they work, a video game den for lounging and playing on breaks, and state-of-the-art video conferencing to connect with Hubspotters around the world.
