IVECO is giving a boost to its service network with the introduction of a new IVECO Truck Stations scheme that will take much of the stress out of long distance lorry driving.The scheme will involve accrediting dealerships with the best performing service centres as IVECO Truck Stations. The idea will be to create a network of high-level service centres across Europe. Each Station will be audited annually to check that performance levels are maintained in order to keep the accreditation.Haulage workers who take on long distance lorry driving jobs will be supported by extended opening hours at the Stations. They will also have the ability to easily locate and contact their nearest branch via the Assistance Non-Stop Freephone number, IVECO Non-Stop mobile app or their on-board telematics system. The IVECO Dealer Locator will provide directions to the driver’s smart phone using geo-location technology.While it has announced 24 IVECO Truck Stations now open across the UK, the company plans to extend that to a network of 250 across Europe by the end of this year.
