After the U.S. Charleston tragedy; flags were drawn in Southern California. Many of them were located on the top of the State House in Southern California. That was the Confederate flag. There is never much talk of this history of this flag. The stars and bars or the Rebel Flag; was first put to use by the Northern Virginian Army. There are a couple of reasons why this flag is embraced. This flag is seen for representing the Southern areas as a bound and secret location. The Southern Areas and their heritage is often celebrated with this flag. It also gives these areas opportunity to mix with the borders of the Confederacy. In that sense; this is how the Southern areas are bound up. It has been questioned whether the Southern regions were once a country. There is even more difficulties. And that is that one cannot remove the fact that there are many flag poles on number plates; coffee cups, t-shirts, and other monuments. This is because it returned in the 1940's to 1950's. It came back because of a huge resistance campaign against civil rights movements. If this did not occur; the flag would not be around when the African Americans wanted to have equality. As an opposition to the Confederacy flag; the battle flag came back and made its presence known. This flag has now become a symbol of history and heritage. It is now used as though the civil rights movement never even existed. However; the civil rights movement is what it is all about. Did the flag disappear in the years between the Civil War and the civil rights movement? The flag was a part of the collective nostalgia for the end result of the conclusion of the Civil War. It was never completely gone. However; the battle flag, was forgotten about. It was just a part of the scene. If the Rebel Flag is celebrated in your states capital; and many roads have names after Confederate generals; and its nineteenth century has gone, no one should be surprised when others notice this. Please do not think that the North and the South are still fighting against each other. Especially whether or not blacks should be represented and have rights. Not to mention life.
