Both the animals need light to see thingsaround and only then they can find their food, avoid threat and could seek a mate. When light is inevitable for survival, why thensome animals like owl, bat, binturong, mouse, rat, cat, cricket etc., havepreferred to be as nocturnal animals. Whereas large group of other animals likecattle, sheep, deer etc., have chosen to be as diurnal animals. Fearof enemies or threat, some animals prefers to hide during nights and become diurnal. Whereas, the nocturnal animals in general hasused the night fearing behaviour of diurnal animals to their advantage andhence become nocturnal. Thequestion is whether the nocturnal predators are successful in hunting diurnalpreys or nocturnal preys? Diurnal preyanimals are weak in night and hence are very alert and careful although succumbeasily to the nocturnal predators. Nocturnalprey animals have a lot to fear about nocturnal predators. So is for nocturnal predators. The nocturnal prey animals are smart innight. The diurnal prey animals will beextra careful during night, so nocturnal predators have to work hard and cannotafford rest on their advantage. So thesituation remain same either you are a nocturnal or diurnal predator or a prey. Theinteresting point is that the fear only made some animals to become nocturnalwhile some animals become nocturnal to take advantage of the fear of diurnalanimals in the night. Themanagement message the corporate need to get is not about fear but how onerespond to the same. Whether you adaptto take advantage of a situation or adapt to avoid a situation, it is only yourpreparedness makes the difference and not the situation. Thecorporate realities are one and same for both the performer and nonperformer. But one chooses to performwhile the other becomes a non performer. It is like rat and mouse prefer nights because of fear of many threatsin the day. But cat prefer the night dueto the scared rats and mouse. Thequestion is what one prefers to be a) A mouse b) A cat Whetherone should work towards taking advantage of a situation or one should acceptand concedes to fear of failure, no can guide or teach anyone. The situational reality and associatedproblems are same for both the winner and cowardice but what makes thedifference is only the way one decides to manage/deal the same situation. Naturehas the best example for the corporate man to learn, follow and introspect. It is not the situation or the opportunity thatmakes one different from the other but how one receive, conceive and respondonly define and determine the difference.
