Another most important dimension that had contributed to his success ishis uniqueness in not establishing any habitat specificity for himself. Manmoved from the jungle, migrated to all parts of the globe such as dessert, coldplanes, costal regions etc. Even in theland mass above and below the sea levels also man established his domains. Ifwe analyze the success of man from the point of view of biology or evolution, wecan understand the fact that man has never adapted (conditioned) with any specifichabitat. More than bringing a change inhim to live in a particular habitat, man learns to modify the habitat to suiteto his need. Mostanimals and plants on the contrary have developed selectivity to some habitats. They have adapted the most to suite tothe habitat. Hence, any destruction ofthe habitat will necessarily cause the death and destruction of all animals andplants as well. Habitatselection and subsequent adaptation has several advantages as well asdisadvantages also. The advantage beingis that the plants or animals have well adapted to a habitat and hence nointruder can easily conquer their habitat as the intruder has to learn aboutthe habitat and only then can develop the necessary techniques to settle overthere. The main disadvantage is thatthe life of all such plants and animals would perish easily if they have to getrelocated to a new habitat. The successof a mosquito or a cockroach will tell us how not having any special habitatwill enable one to become supremely successful. Thisunique flexibility of man Homo sapiensonly enabled him to be the ruler of the biome. But he is ruining the nature than ruling the nature. Man is indeed the most populated species inthe planet. Themanagement message what the corporate employees has to learn from the above isthe danger of habitat selection. Manyemployees love to stick to a corporate and never ever venture to test orchallenge their talents. With time, theydevelop a mind set that they cannot survive elsewhere and hence have tocontinue with the same organization at any cost. Thequestion to be asked by every employee is that why they exhibit different humaninstinct in corporate habitat whereas in nature they have never chosen anyparticular habitat or have developed any affinity. Isbiological man is different from corporate man? Man outside the corporate is a different species from what he is in the corporate. Successlies not in having strict or varied habitats but how one adapt is veryimportant. Are you a part of yourhabitat or trying to make the habitat a part of your life style that matters?
