Small offices have unique needs, and thatincludes document shredding. Designed with the smaller business inmind, the Dahle 20314 is a cross-cut shredder that offers Level 3security and brings you into compliance with federal regulations. The As we all know to live in this world we have to perform some activity by which we can earn money. There are many activities by which we can earn money and meet the standards to live in this society. And from one of them is franchise. Franc
EEPROMstands for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory.EEPROM is a type of non volatile memory which is used in computers orelectronic devices to maintain the data when power is turned off butin case SRAM or DRAM information may be lost when power is switchedoff. To store the larger amount of data, a special type of EEPROM isused known as flash memory which is more economical in comparison toEEPROM devices.History:-In1983,George Perlegos developed the Intel 2816 at Intel, which was based onearlier technology EEPROM, but now we are using a thin gate oxidelayer because the chip could erase its own bits without an ultraviolet source. George Perlegos and others left to form SeeqTechnology, which used on charge pumps devices to supply the highvoltages which is necessary for EEPROMs.Typesof EEPROM :- Thereare two types of EEPROM1.Parallel Bus 2. Serial BusParallelBus :- ParallelEEPROM devices typically have an address bus wide enough to cover thecomplete memory and 8-bit data bus. Most devices have chip select(CS) and write protect pins (WR). Some Microcontroller haveintegrated parallel EEPROM.Operationof a parallel EEPROM is simple and fast in comparison to serialEEPROM, but these devices are larger due to the higher number of pins(28 pins or more) and have been decreasing in popularity in favor ofserial EEPROM or Flash. ParallelEEPROMs are used in applications such as POS terminals, industrialcontrollers, LAN adapters, telecommunication switches, cellularphones and modems. SerialBus :- SerialEEPROM works in three modes : OP-Code Phase, Data bus and AddressPhase. The OP-Code is usually the first 8-bits input to the serialinput pin of the EEPROM device followed by 8 to 24 bits of addressingdepending on the depth of the device, then data to be read orwritten. SerialEEPROM products are used in many applications to store userreconfigurable data. Common applications are disk drives, modems, cellular phones, VCRs, CD players, hearing aids, PCMCIA cards, cordless phones, laser printers, computers and pagers.Comparisonwith EPROM and EEPROM/Flash :-EPROMscan not be erased electrically, and are programmed through hotcarrier injection onto the floating gate. Erase is possible with thehelp of an Ultra Violet light source, although in practice manyEPROMs are encapsulated in plastic that is opaque to Ultra Violetlight, and are "one-time programmable".EEPROMcan be programmed and erased electrically using field emissiongenerally known in the industry as "Fowler-Nordheim tunneling".MostlyNOR Flash memory is a hybrid style-programming is through hot carrierinjection and erase with the help of Fowler-Nordheim tunneling.Engineering Services Article Tags: Electrically Erasable Programmable, Erasable Programmable Read-only, Programmable Read-only Memory, Read-only Memory Eeprom, Electrically Erasable, Erasable Programmable, Programmable Read-only, Read-only Memory, Memory Eeprom, Ultra Violet, Parallel Eeprom, Serial Eeprom
