Social networking was customized to perform groupshopping too!On thisday, I learnt a lot of lessons and also I found solutions too for certainproblems with group shopping. A big question that was solved for me was: Can wemake group shopping as our regular practice? I mean, can we buy each and everyitem through volume discounting? My next social circle will be my relatives.I called my wife and asked her to get hold of one of her cousin who was talkingabout buying a television set last month itself.Not to mysurprise, my wife hesitated and she said Look dear! You are, sorry we are,not good at bargains. My cousin may not feel comfortable in bargaining with usand it may cause some hitch among our relatives circle. I know my wife underestimates my bargain skills, as she always does in any such things to me.When Ireached my office, I went to internet to search for the deals on televisionsets and seriously looked at their prices and deals. I couldnt even completesearching a handful of website before I had realized that I had alreadyconsumed considerable amount work time. By the lunch time, I made a decision totake a half day off and go around the local shops.I wantedto mention here something. There are many volume discounting web sites. Ididnt opt to buy through those sites as they involve credit card payments online. Moreover, I didnt like to buy my TV without seeing it physically. Irealized some increase in my confidence and my bargain tone has also becomestronger. Before even enjoying my bargain power, I realized something else too.My hesitations, while asking the prices! I am missing something - the freenessin exercising my bargain skills! My wife was peeping into my mind constantlycautioning me about my bargain skills. I kept on mounting a smile on my faceand looked at my shopping-partner each time I talked on the price to the salesperson. I was not comfortable in freely bargaining as I was not sure how mypartner will take my bargain capability.For somereasons we couldnt buy the television that day and we both returned back home.I sat down and tried to assimilate all the events that happened since morning.Questions started appearing to me.
