Lin-Yun was raised in Beijing; at the age of 6, he started to be taught the Black Sect Tantric Buddhism by his first teacher.At age 17, Lin Yun returned to Taiwan and continued to study under other spiritual guides of Black Sect Tantric Buddhism, including Master Hui and Master Cheng. He studied with distinguished philosophers and Buddhist masters. After years of meditation and study, Lin-Yun has gained profound spiritual abilities and insight. He helped large numbers of people solve their issues using "transcendental solutions." Grandmaster Lin Yun has been introducing his teachings for over three decades. He teaches Feng Shui giving lectures at universities and other educational institutions. His school received wide praise and formed a trend in Asia, Europe, and America. In 1997, the Grandmaster was presented with an honorary degree for his humane psychology study by the Northern California University. This affirms his commitment to connect Western and Eastern cultures through the guidance that he has contributed to humankind. In 1998, the Tibetan Bon religion's leader officially presented Lin Yun the name of "His Holiness". This is the only time in the record of this religion giving such a tribute to a Chinese. The Professor is a leading authority in feng shui. He lectures at the invite of the worldwide educational and religious institutions.
