Here is a little information on how Mark Hall established this band and what are its achievements since the day it was formed and how it progressed over time.A rock band, that is both a Grammy Award winner and a Dove Award winner, consists of Christian contemporary artists, initiated in 1999 by Mark Hall who was a young cleric at the first Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Florida.Mark Hall is now the lead vocalist of the band, he took the band from Florida to Georgia and the group was introduced to some new talent, which was later augmented. Some of the band members work as rectors for Eagles Landing First Church in Stockbridge, Georgia.Establishment of the BandThe Rock band, Casting Crowns, was initiated as an apprentice worship band in Florida. When the band moved to Georgia, some new members were included in the group, playing different instruments such as the keyboard, bass and drums. This new version of the group produced two albums and distributed them on CDs. The making was the effort of the band maker, Mark Hall and the group members who together targeted the local youth, living in Atlanta region.During their time in Georgia, Casting Crowns was victorious in the regional song writing competition, held in the Palm Beach Atlantic University in the two categories of the best song and the best artist in 2004.The group was working well together and did not seek a record label, but found their way to Mark Miller who was the lead singer for a country set called the Sawyer Brown.Miller then took the Casting Crowns to world of studio with Steven Curtis Chapman who was a Christian music artist as well. This is where the road to popularity began for the Casting Crowns and they released a successful album in 2003. The song from their album, titled as the Voice of Truth, smashed records and remained number 1 for fourteen weeks non-stop. This album was then recommended and recognized as Platinum.Another song from the Casting Crowns that held top 10 Position for 9 weeks was the Lifesong released in 2000. This was the song that won Casting Crowns their first Grammy Award in 2006. In the same year, the group launched another version of the song and called it the Lifesong Live and featured performances from the studio of the original version.Present.The group's latest song, known as Courageous, endorses the movie Courageous, which was released on the 13th of June, 2011.
