The Ed Showmay not be something that you know much about, but it is definitely a good watch if you are interested in serious matters. This controversial show really gets to the core of issues as host Ed Schultz discusses his opinions of American Politics. Not a news showEd Schultz definitely marches to the beat of his own drum with this show. He invites comedians to comment on politics as well as employs entirely different colors in his graphics to let you know that The Ed Show is not your ordinary news broadcast show. Where MSNBC uses a professional blue tone, Ed Schultz stands out in fiery orange and black. Ed Schultz lives on the freedom to say exactly what he feels about the different events going on in the United States news and government. About the hostSo who is this man that sits and talks and somehow attracts so much attention and support? Ed Schultz is a liberal political commentator that has previously hosted the famous radio show The Ed Schultz Show. But, he dropped the last name and jumped to television. Schultz is a self-proclaimed lefty and loves it that way. He is very anti-Republican and voices this often on his shows. He was also previously a sportscaster by profession before he turned his attention to politics. And much of the world is very glad he did. PopularityAlthough The Ed Show has been incredibly popular among left-wing supporters that enjoy a good, straightforward viewpoint being presented on MSNBC, even the greatest show will hit a snag occasionally. For Schultz, the snag came in 2011 when he let his opinion go a little too far. Apparently, even for late night political commentary, there is a line you dont cross. The faux pasIn May of 2011, Schultz and his show reached infamy when he was suspended without pay by the network for referring to right-wing politician Laura Ingraham as a right-wing slut and a talk slut. Ingraham herself was not the one to speak out, though. Feminist organizations were outraged and called for his suspension. The suspension was issued and Schultz eventually apologized to Ingraham for his comment. Ingraham accepted his apology and Schultz returned to his show to let loose his wrath even more. The Ed Show is still a very popular watch, possibly even more so after the scandalous comment made by its host. It is a good watch if you are left-wing supporter interested in current politics. For many people, Schultz is a breath of fresh air, even though it may hit your face a little harshly.a
