It was originally known as Holiday Lanes up until 1985 when Wood Foss purchased the business and changed the name to the Alley Katz Entertainment Center. Over the years, some major steps were taken to both update and improve the facility. An electronic scoring system with flat screen technology was added. The lanes were resurfaced with a synthetic finish. Lighting was updated throughout the facility and a new sound system was installed. The folks who run Alley Katz Bowling are always looking to do things for their loyal clientele. They have specials almost every day of the week. On Sundays, between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, you can rent a lane for 3 hours of unlimited bowling for just $27.00. Lunacy Bowling starts at 9:00 pm and runs through midnight. Every Sunday - Thursday, bowlers pay just $8.00 to bowl all the games they want during the 3 hour period. There are plenty of other great offers for the holidays and other special occasions. The center also organizes a number of bowling leagues for players of all skill levels.Cleats Sports Club in the Alley Katz bowling center is a full service bar and resataurant. You can have your choice of beers, both domestic and imported or you can order from their extensive menu. They serve all sorts of delicious food including a tasty grilled chicken Caeser Salad and a satisfying tuna melt. The burgers are great. They are all hand pressed and come in a variety of styles. The "Strike Zone" is a very popular item. It is a juicy burger seved with bacon, lettuce and tomato and a dab of mayonaisse.There is always plenty of good music in Cleats, sometimes a DJ will spin tunes and other times you can listen to the vast library of the Club. On Tuesday nights, it is time for Alley Katz Karaoke. Whether you're brave enough to get up and perform or you just like to watch others belt out their version of "Born in the USA", you're sure to have a great time.
