It has been whispered from father to son, mother to daughter andholds the key to unlock treasure chests to great fortunes. Are you ready? Everyone wants to make an impactin what they do; they want to make a difference so to speak. And they want itto be their own idea! One of the most essential lifeskills to learn is to listen to the ideas of other people! It will make a hugedeal of difference in the world of relationships. The ability to reorganize youridea does not necessarily mean that it was wrong in the first place. But mainlyto improve on it and formulate something twice as better and shows that we havethe humility and are smart enough to maintain a learning posture. It alsoconnotes that you will often time disagree, but we need to realize that we candisagree agreeably. We should opt to disagree without being disagreeable. The cold hard truth is we needcriticism as a matter of perception of other peoples view on our personalopinion, belief, culture or just plain desire. Since what we often see isgreatly dependent on our perception and are quite often twisted by our ownpreconceived ideas. An example would be like going out for a walk and whilelooking up to the sky we might see a cloud. Another might see irregular shapesof white streaks drifting beyond a blue background. An artist might see it as apicture worthy of his talents; a poet might commit to write the emotions thatmoves her with this vignette. A weatherman might see the signs of a changingweather patter while a sportsman could see this as a perfect day for golf or anoutdoor jog. If you look at it these people see different with this sensoryinformation. This illustrates that we not onlysee with our eyes, but with our hearts, dreams and desires as well as our ownpreconceived ideas. So through opening up to other peoples ideas we can gainaccess to a combined hundreds of years of experiences reference points andvalue systems.
