We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. There is so much to learn and
Whenever I look in the mirror, I see a stud ... not a dud! If honest confession is good for the soul, inorder to be truthful, sometimes I see a dud not a stud. Tiredness, mental fatigue, spiritual doubts, inhibitions and poor nutrition ... all of these can play a part. But we alwayshave a choice we only need to make the right one. We must absolutely determinethat we will not be led about by our feelings. Whether we feel good or feelbad is not the issue. It should be a question of What is my worth? Am I proudof lifes success, achievements, and skills? If not, then you should find waysfor life training to improve performance, after all its for your own personalgood. The issue is way deeper than feelings. Feelings are the result ofmany related factors. It could be lastnight's pizza... confronting this morning's flat tire. These stressors andfrustrations will start an avalanche headed to you know where if we dontstop them. Our faith in ourselves, our lives, our decisions and on and on...Will mentally get called into question and eventually we can fall in todepression. A logical worthwhile investment would be is to invest on a lifetraining in building skills to become more successful in life. One day a well known speaker started off his seminarby holding up a $20 bill. In a room of about 200 people, he asked, What isthis piece of paper & is it worth anything? It is a $20 bill ... its worth $20! Someone shoutedout. He then began to crumple the dollar bill up using bothhis hands till it became nothing but a handful of wadded up paper. He unfoldedit again and tried to smooth it out... and asked, "would you still be ableto buy $20 worth of goods for this?' Yes!! everyone agreed. Well, he said, Looks like I havent done enough! What if I do this? And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind itinto the floor with his shoe. What is it worth now? "Its still worth 20 Dollars, Everyone agreed. My friends, there is a very valuable lesson in thisexercise that we just went through. I was able to reshape, deface, mutilate& alter the $20 bill during the process. However, no matter what I did tothis piece of paper, you still said it was worth $20." Many times in our lives, we feel like as if we aredropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and/or thecircumstances we go through. We feel as though we are worthless. It may alsoappear to onlookers as if it has really happened to a certain extent. But nomatter what has happened or what will happen, please remember younever lose your Value. Think back on those who never lost faith in their abilities, whenyou fail or go through times of doubt, Sir Edmund Hillary refused to accept failure as an option. Hisdisplays of superhuman will power were displayed by being the first man toclimb Mount Everest. On May 29, 1953 he scaled the highest mountain then knownto man ... 29,000 feet straight up. He was knighted for his endeavor. He evenmade American Express card commercials because of it! Did you know Hillary had to grow into this success? You see, in1952 he attempted to climb Mount Everest, but failed. A few weeks later a groupin England asked him to address its members. Hillary walked on stage tothunderous applause. He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of theplatform. He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in aloud voice, Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but Ill beat you thenext time because youve grown all you are going to grow... but Im still growing! He never lost faith in himself! Another brilliant example: There was once a boy who started speaking later than most. He was definitely not a good all-aroundstudent. His teachers found him to be a problem child. He had odd mannerisms ... he had no friends... and his father was ashamed of him because he had no athletic ability. Eccentrics are often associated as being geniuses in more waysthan one can imagine. He had to leave school for six months during his senioryear because of a nervous breakdown. ButI'm glad he didn't give up. His name wasAlbert, Albert Einstein. He never lost faith in himself! Oh, by the way, didyou hear about the family that kept taking Einstein vacations? Thats one where everything was relative! You visit aunts, uncles, etc. You have toshake off these feelings when you start to lose faith in yourself. If the need arises we should start to encourageourselves... you need to motivate yourself! Am I encouraging you to ... talk to yourself? Yes I am. Self talk is a great step in mind renewal. Here are some examples I say to myself: Im a winner not a whiner. I'm a stud, not a dud. I remind myself of past successes. I wouldnote down the contentions that made me successful, introspect on how I was ableto achieve them. Then Ill read them over and over. Some people call these positive statements ... affirmations. Mark Victor Hanson and Robert Allen in theirgreat book One Minute Millionaire call them manifestations. Manifest means to make appear Adeeper meaning means to reach from the visible world ... by faith ...through aninvisible veil ... and pull something back. It manifests itself. That is what positive self talk can do. It can help you shake off these bad vibesand manifest a better self image. Thiswill keep you from losing faith in yourself and give the negative notion ofasking yourself What is my worth? If we face our problems and respond to thempositively, and refuse to give into panic, refuse to give into bitterness, andrefuse to give into self-pity ... THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THEPOTENTIAL TO BENEFIT US ...AND BLESS US! Determination amidst hindrances while enduring theravages of decrepit negative stimulus forges a man with a conviction like noother. Through Life training and skill building with a mentor or a life coachone can definitely see acclaimed improvement on your performance on yourpersonal work. And also as a means to further reach your personal mission.
