When you declutter your life, it is like taking a big breath of fresh air. Getting to that point, however, can be quite a task if your life is a cluttered mess. Most people claim that they live in their cars meaning that they spend the majority of their time on the road traveling to work or school, etc., so your car can instantly turn into a big cluttered mess if you are not careful. The same goes with your purse, backpack or briefcase. Organizing these things will help you to feel more organized. When you tackle your car, do it outside on a sunny day where you can open the doors and windows and air out the entire vehicle. Start by bringing out a garbage sack and throwing away old sodas, cans, gum wrappers and miscellaneous garbage that has accumulated in your car. If you have paperwork in your car that should be filed away inside your home, take it in at this time instead of saying that youll do it later. Organize your CDs into a case that you keep in your car. Make sure it has a lid or cover that can be zipped up to stay organized. Bring in any extra coats, hats, gloves etc. that you may have had in your car for an emergency. Get a big bin with a lid at a storage shop and create an emergency box for your trunk. Add a blanket, flashlight, a couple bottles of water, some granola bars and a map. Keep this in your trunk to be used in an emergency, but it will be organized and far away from you being able to pile anything on top of it. Next, vacuum and detail your car, cleaning every crack and crevice in the vehicles. Wipe off the consoles and upholstery. Finally, give your car a good bath and wax. Your vehicle will be looking as good as new by the time youre all done!Keeping your personal property organized is also a big task, especially if you have children. Not being able to find anything in your purse is very frustrating. Changing purses often will help you stay clutter-free and will remind you to clean out extra gum wrappers, toy cars, balloons and miscellaneous papers often. If you dont enjoy switching purses, try to stay on task with cleaning out your purse once a week. Try to do it every Sunday or at the beginning of every week as a reminder to start anew. If you declutter your life on a regular basis, it will be smooth sailing!
