Here are ways to increase your resilience:Practice living in the present moment through breath awareness and mindfulness.Practice self-acceptance and building of self-esteem. Begin by accepting and loving yourself as you are right now. Be gentle with yourself when you struggle, fall or fail. Stop the guilt trips. 'I am where I am and it's okay' is a good mantra to repeat to yourself.Accept responsibility for your own feelings instead of blaming others or relying on them for your sense of completeness or wellbeing.Practice self-assertiveness, honoring your wants, needs and values. Live your truth, even if it means upsetting the social apple carts around you.Get out of the habit of hoping and wishing, and start doing what needs to be done to make your goals happen.Spend 10 to 15 minutes every day doing nothing except finding that 'something is missing' place in your life by connecting with the core of peace in the centre of your being.
