A large number of people thought that if the number of employees in an organization were less than 6 than that particular organization need not have to carry out a fire risk assessment. However, this is false, because they still have to get regular fire risk assessment done within their premises.Prior to the Fire Safety Law which was established in the year 2005, the legislation thought that the fire was predictable and fire certificates will be issued by brigades. However, after 2005 this process of issuing fire certificates has been scrapped and the above law makes it mandatory for all organizations to carry out steps by which fire occurring is reduced appreciably and has set a number of fire risk assessment plans that a company should carry out. There is an Accountable Person in every organization which is normally the owner of the company, who then recruits a person who is competent in nature and carries out the duties related to the fire risk assessment. This person is given formal training by some fire marshal. The owner of the organization should see that fire risk assessment is done in a correct way so that the rate at which the fire can spread is considerably reduced; notice and caution others about this fire, finding ways to extinguish fire, tell which all process and activities should be done when a fire takes place and fight minor fires. The main function of fire risk assessment is to look into all the fire risks and hazards. This process is termed as Significant Findings.
