Get in a little exercise by walking the nearly one-mile circumference of Ring Road, a path that takes you around the entire campus. Cut through Aldrich Park between the Biological Sciences and Humanities schools to check out a few small sculpture gardens and enjoy some shade. Pick up any school-related merchandise at the UCI Bookstore. Pick up a paper that details that week's events and head to the Anthill pub, where you can see what nighttime events interest you.You'll find a brewery inside the University Towne Center, across from the UCI campus, a Boomers for people who enjoy family fun centers, Irvine Lanes or Verizon Amphitheater for those wishing to take in a musical act, the Irvine Improv at the Irvine Spectrum or a plethora of sports events, lectures and other cultural activities.So there you have it; Irvine is a wonderful place to call home.
