When starting a new work at home business it is very easy to become consumed by it. We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. (Yes, I admit it - this is my pet peeve question.) Only ignorance can cause a person to belittle something they know nothing about. (Please feel free to use this as comfort if you are ever confronted by unfounded derision toward something you love.)As a hand analyst, I practice both an art that is over 5,000 years old and a science that is being updated daily as more and more is being discovered about the link between the brain and the hands. Frank Wilson, a well-regarded neuroscientist, studied hand analysis at the same school I did and he references our brilliant teacher, Richard Unger, in his book, aptly entitled, "The Hand."2. "Can You Tell Me How Long I'm Going to Live?"No. I can't. As a hand analyst, I don't make predictions. You are the best prognosticator for your future. Your choices have the power to alter your course or keep it moving straight ahead. My job is to help you remember the essence of who you are, inspire you to reclaim your birth right, and empower you to live your life purpose without excuses or apologies. I'm not going to do you the disservice of planting a prediction in your head for you to obsess over. Where's the power in that?3. "You're Not Going to Tell Me Anything Bad, Are You?"For the record, there is nothing "bad" in the hands. I see everything as a positive. If you have a gift, that's a positive. If you're not using the gift, you'll experience a challenge. As Richard Unger says, this challenge is merely an AFGO - "another f'in growth opportunity." :-) It's all about learning. To me, the only truly "bad" thing is to not learn from your successes and failures. To repeat unflattering behavioral patterns - now that's bad.4. "Do You Actually Earn a Living Doing This?"Yes, I do. I currently have a six-figure income reading hands and then coaching my clients so they can utilize the hand analysis information pro-actively and practically in their everyday lives. I developed the coaching protocol on my own when clients saw me out again and again for understanding and clarity.5. "You Went to School For This?!"Yes, I studied for a year at the International Institute of Hand Analysis in Marin County, California to become a certified hand analyst. Sometimes people think I can see all that I do in a person's hands because of something I learned during my travels abroad or that I have a special "gift." If only it were that simple. It does require a love of human interaction and a curiosity about the human psyche, to be sure, but what has given me authority to reveal the intimate details in your life is your hands. And I had to study - and I continue to study - to stay on my toes.Okay. Glad I got that off my chest. Thanks for reading. Article Tags: About Hand, Hand Analysis, Hand Analyst
