We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. There is so much to learn and
I recently had an interesting conversation with a prospect. He was very energetic, sociable and had great communication skills. On prompting, he proceeded to list all of his accomplishments, degrees and titles. They consisted of several degrees and years of education and experience. When I asked him what he thought all these accomplishments were worth, he answered without hesitation, They should be worth $10 million. The interesting part about the conversation was that the fellow was currently unemployed. Then I asked him, What is stopping you from making the $10 million? His reply? I suppose I am.Have you ever wondered why some people receive large financial compensation for their talents and knowledge while others dont?Having a degree and long title behind their name doesnt automatically give a person the key to career success and financial security. I am sure many of you know individuals who arent getting paid what theyre worth. In the reverse, those with regular 9 to 5 jobs often have healthy bank accounts! I know several people, with no degrees, who are some of the wealthiest individuals Ive met.In order to receive what you know your talents are worth, you have to step outside the box and search for alternative ways to create multiple streams of income.Think of this example: since we were babies and children, we have received all that we needed to survive from one sourceour parents. We have been conditioned to believe that security in the financial realm also means having a single, constant or stable source of income. What happens when your boss or company you work for terminates your one source of income? The main point is--who has more financial security: the PhD with a one job/income stream or the person with no degree or title but with several streams of income? In my mind it is definitely the individual with the most streams of incomeregardless of the number of college degrees. My point is that anyone can use the talents and skills that God blesses them with to create financial security using a multiple income-stream strategy. You are limited only by yourself and the beliefs that you have about yourself. And so I told my prospect to go look at the information I was presenting. I encouraged him to realize how he can use his many talents and skills to create multiple streams of income and start generating the $10 million that he was worth. It is not about whether you think you are worth $5 thousand a year or $10 million a year. Its not about the job. Its not about the university degrees. Its about YOU!If you want true financial security, I suggest that you find as many ways as possible to create income for yourself. Secure your income in a more long-lasting way.
