Our lives, personal and business are made up of aseries of goals. We want to be successful, happy,earn a good living, have a family and so on. Buthow do we achieve these goals? Hopefully, in ourpersonal life, we meet the right person to help usmake our personal goals happen. For some of us,this happens right away and for some it may takea lot of years. When it does happen, all of yourpersonal goals can become reality. Our businessgoals on the other hand, may take more work tomake them happen.When you are deciding on your business goals,one thing you can do is divide your one main goalinto several smaller goals that will make your maingoal seem more attainable. Instead of your goalbeing to make a million dollars a year, you candivide this into yearly, monthly, weekly and alsodaily goals.For example: If you are an ezine publisher and yourgoal is 100,000 subscribers, your first year goalcould be set at 1000. You make your goals intoattainable steps and follow those steps to success.You will accomplish more and not be so easilydiscouraged by working your business this way.When you first decide you want to start your ownbusiness, what you should do is write down yourplan for your business and also what you want yourmain goal to be. Put all this in an outline. Then youdecide on smaller monthly, weekly and yearly goalsto work for in order to achieve your main goal.Another good idea is to organize each day by whatyou want to achieve for that day. Organize yourtime each day into blocks and write down what isto get done in each time block. This is a typical day of mine, however all of ourschedules are different. You have to organize yourdaily goals to best fit your schedule. This can helpyou get more work done and be less overwhelmed.I used to start my day knowing I had to do this andthat and then some more and I wouldn't knowwhere to start and I just felt lost. Writing down andscheduling my daily goals has really helped me getmore work done.You should also write down your weekly andmonthly goals in the same manner. Check on theseperiodically to see if you are doing what needs tobe done. One word of advice, use these as aguide and do not beat yourself up if you do notmake them exactly as you have written. Somegoals may take a little longer to attain than whatyou think.
